Mothers’ Day Celebrated in Style

Providore’s beautiful state of the art cooking studio in Shenton Way.

On a Saturday afternoon in April this year, BridgeAble played chef and created a recipe for community service.

We put together a CSR project connecting The Providore restaurant and cooking studio group and Touch Community Services, a Singapore charitable organization whose mission is to develop strong families and enabled communities.

Here are the ingredients of our recipe:

The plan: To invite a group of mothers whom Touch works who were interested in learning culinary skills, to attend a cooking class taught by Providore chef and Indian Spice Box founder Namita Moolani Mehra.

The plan enabled the group to enjoy an enriching afternoon learning, bonding and picking up a vocational skill along the way. The meal that followed cooked by each of the mums, was the icing on the cake!

The menu: Tandoori chicken, dal and apple cinnamon crumble.

The venue: Providore’s beautiful state of the art cooking studio in Shenton Way.

The result: Lots of smiles around the studio, some skills learnt and an offer from The Providore to offer more such cooking lessons for mums whom Touch works with!
